We are pleased to publish Professor Wrobel's article, The Jews of Galicia under Austrian-Polish Rule, 1867-1918, previously published in the The Galitzianer journal (May, August and November 2001).
Professor Wrobel holds the Konstanty Reynart Chair in Polish Studies in the Department of History at the University of Toronto. He wrote this article to fill the great dearth of scholarly literature on Galicia.
Professor Wrobel has also taught at the University of Warsaw, the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and the University of California-Davis. He was scholar-in residence at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1999.He has authored or co-authored nine books and more than fifty scholarly articles.
